Future Craft

The collaboration between Shenkar (Israel) and UAL  aims to preserve and disseminate knowledge of endangered textile craft techniques shared by Israeli and European cultures. Through a technique-based mapping approach, led by Steph Rolf (UAL), the project seeks to capture the intricacies of knotting, weaving, and braiding crafts, and make them accessible to young designer/makers in a visual and practice-based manner. This initiative will help to ensure the survival of these techniques for future generations.
